Our Story
Rooted in legacy.
Why the name
Baseball has a deep Black legacy — from the Negro Leagues to the stars who changed the game. Yet in many communities, the path into competitive youth baseball can feel narrow: costly, hard to find, and short on mentors who look like the kids on the field.
Black Ballers Network exists to widen that path. The name honors where we come from and who we set out to serve. It is a statement of pride and purpose — never a line that keeps anyone out.
BBN is a youth baseball development and opportunity network, not a year-round travel-ball team. Most athletes remain with their regular teams, joining BBN for off-season and some in-season training, clinics, scrimmages, mentoring and optional specialized tournaments.
How we are organized
One network. Distinct opportunities.
1. Black Ballers Network
The umbrella organization connecting athletes, families and coaches through baseball development, community and opportunity.
2. BBN Prospects
The community and select competitive opportunities program — not a year-round team or a replacement for a player's usual team.
3. Event-specific select rosters
Independently branded rosters assembled for particular tournaments, displayed as [Team Name] — Powered by Black Ballers Network. No final team name or mascot has been chosen. Each roster is selective; submitting interest does not guarantee selection.
